September 2020 Announcements

Welcome to everyone who came to our Fall Cub Scout Roundup last week! It was great meeting the new scouts, and I was thrilled to see so many returning scouts from last year.

Next Meeting Sep 26

Our next meeting is Saturday, September 26, outside Bethel Lutheran Church, at 9:00am-11:00am. We will have another day of fun activities and games in the great outdoors.

If you missed our last meeting, or if you have a friend who might be interested in Cub Scouts, feel free to bring them along (you can join Cub Scouts at any time of the year).

Fall Out Day Nov 7

Our first calendar change of the year will be November 7. Instead of our regular gathering at Bethel, we will be meeting at Phillippo Scout Camp in Cannon Falls, MN (about 40 minute drive). We will have morning activities starting at 9:00am, a scout-cooked lunch, and more fun with some time at the archery/bb gun range in the afternoon.

More details and directions to come, and those hearty enough to camp in Minnesota in November are welcome to stay either Friday or Saturday night (or both!)

2020-2021 Registration

Our goal is to get all new and returning Cub Scouts registered by October 31. To register, click on the website here: https://www.scoutingevent.com/250-2020_2021MembershipFees

The registration fee this year is $180 (there is a checkbox to request financial assistance). Click the button for NEW or RETURNING youth. We are Pack 3038 of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Den Leaders/Committee Members, please also use this page to register for the year (if you are also registering in Troop 3038 or 5038, do that first and then do the Multiple Unit option to register for Pack 3038). Pack 38 will reimburse registration for Den Leaders/Committee Members.

Popcorn and Christmas Wreath Sale Starts Now

Our only fundraiser of the year is our annual Popcorn and Christmas Wreath sale.

To sell popcorn, you need to download the Trails End App onto a smartphone, and/or create an account on the website www.trails-end.com (the App changed this year, so if you have last year's app delete it and download the new one).

To keep social distancing, the Council is asking all sales be made through the App, and delivery will be direct from Trails End to your customer.

We do have a supply of popcorn if you want to sell at a table in front of a local store. Contact Dana Tuss, i*****@hotmail.com, to sell at a table. Dana has a number of local stores that have hosted Scouts in the past and would be willing to host us again this year.

Christmas Wreath order forms will be available from me (Dan Fehler, f*****@gmail.com) by Tuesday, and I will have more forms at our next meeting. Wreath orders are due Tuesday, October 20, and wreaths will be available for pickup on Saturday, November 21.
