Fall Out Day this Saturday
Hello Pack 3038!
We are getting ready for Fall Out Day at Phillipo Scout Camp this Saturday!
Getting There
Attached are two maps (one to get to Phillipo in Cannon Falls, MN, the other is a map of the campsites within Phillipo). Driving time is about 40 minutes. NSC does not recommend car-pooling due to COVID.
We do NOT have confirmation of where we will be camping/meeting, but I requested the area around the POWELL shelter (also referred to as the BADEN POWELL shelter). Drive in the main camp entrance, and if there is no one directing you at the check-in shed, follow the road past the dining hall and take a left at the archery range.
What To Bring
The weather looks warm, but be dressed to spend the whole day outside!
2 Masks/person
hand sanitizer/wipes
water bottle/person
healthy trail snack
hat/sunscreen
flashlight
rain gear/poncho
pocket knife for Bears/Webelos who're working on Whittling Chip
day pack to carry all this
Overnight campers should bring their own additional camping gear.
We will have paper plates/utensils/napkins for meals, but to help keep distance while eating it'd be helpful to have some extra portable chairs/tables.
Forms
We need the attached forms completed for everyone (youth and adults) attending, and brought with you:
BSA Health Form 680 (parts A and B)

Menu
The Webelos Den (with Mike Roberts bringing supplies) is planning on having Hot Dogs for Saturday Lunch, and a Stew (?) for Saturday Dinner. If you have any special diet/allergies that we need to know for planning, contact Mike Roberts (xxx@gmail.com) before Wednesday (or feel free to bring your own)
Overnight Campers are responsible for their own dinner on Friday, and breakfasts Saturday and Sunday.
Last-minute Cancelations/Additions
I lost my sign-up sheet/notes, so I compiled a roster mostly from memory. We look to have 22 Cub Scouts, one Sibling (teenager), and 20 Adults, with four families (Roberts, Dawson, Lewellen, Reese) camping at least one night.
If you want to add yourself to the overnight group, or you need to cancel or change who's attending, contact Chris Lewellen (cmlewellen@gmail.com).
Cost
Cub Scout Pack 38 is sponsoring this day FREE for all our Cub Scouts and family members to enjoy. Overnight campers can pay $5/person to Dan Fehler (checks to PACK 38) at our next regular meeting, Saturday November 21.
